These terms are being finalized and may change before Headr's public launch.
Companies that use Headr can text and email their own customers about appointments, jobs and estimates. These rules apply to every message sent through Headr.
For homeowners and other people who get messages
- Who's texting you: the contractor you're working with, using Headr. Each message names the company.
- What you'll get: appointment confirmations and reminders, schedule changes, job updates, and messages about your estimate or project. How often depends on your project, usually a few per appointment.
- To stop: reply STOP to any text. You'll get one message confirming it, and no more texts from that company. Reply START to turn them back on, or HELP for help.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Your number stays private. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
- Emails include the company's name and a way to stop them.
- Questions: contact the company that messaged you, or [Contact email]. See our Privacy Policy.
For companies that send messages through Headr
- Get permission first. Text only people who agreed to get texts from your company, for example by checking a box on your estimate form or saying yes when you booked. Record it in Headr with the "OK to text" switch. You're responsible for being able to show that permission.
- Job messages only, unless you have written permission for marketing. Appointment and job texts are what Headr is for. Promotional texts (sales, discounts, "refer a friend") need the customer's signed or electronic written consent first, and are your responsibility.
- Honor STOP every time. Headr blocks texts to a number that replied STOP. Don't try to get around it with another number or tool.
- Quiet hours. Headr holds texts from 9 PM to 8 AM and sends them at 8 AM. Don't work around it.
- Identify yourself in every message. Headr's templates include your company name; keep it in when you edit them.
- No prohibited content: nothing illegal, misleading, or about cannabis, firearms, gambling, high-interest loans or debt collection, which carriers ban or restrict.
- Emails: use your real company name and address, a truthful subject line, and keep the unsubscribe working.
Headr may pause a company's messages if it sees signs of complaints, high opt-outs or misuse, to protect the company's number and everyone else's.
